Once lipedema is diagnosed there are different treatments to cure it. They are divided into two groups: surgical treatments and non-surgical treatments.
Surgical treatments are intended to cure more serious states of the disease. In this case we find three different types of liposiction: tumescent, power-assisted, and water-assisted (WAL). The latter is the most innovative and effective for extracting fat.
Non-surgical treatments are more conservative. The compression stockings help to slow down the growth of fat cells. Manual lymphatic drainage is a manual massage that promotes circulation. And pressotherapy is a massage with air pressure.
